New York CNN —Amazon’s biggest moneymaker, Amazon Web Services, is getting a new leader. Adam Selipsky, the chief executive of the cloud computing unit, will step down from his role next month, the company announced Tuesday. Selipsky, who first joined AWS in 2005 — before its services were even publicly available — has led the business since 2021, when previous AWS CEO Andy Jassy was promoted to lead all of Amazon. Matt Garman, currently vice president of sales, marketing and global services, will take over as AWS CEO starting June 3. Amazon Web Services’ sales have grown more than 85% since Selipsky’s takeover.

Snap reported first-quarter results on Thursday that beat analysts' estimates and showed a return to double-digit revenue growth. Adjusted EBITDA for the first quarter was $46 million, far surpassing the $68 million loss expected by analysts, according to StreetAccount. For its second quarter, Snap expects to report revenue between $1.23 billion and $1.26 billion, up from the $1.22 billion expected by analysts, according to StreetAccount. Snap said adjusted EBITDA will fall between $15 million and $45 million, compared to Wall Street's expectations of $15.5 million. The company expects to report around 431 million DAUs in its second quarter, up from the 430 million expected by StreetAccount.

CNN —Former JetBlue CEO Robin Hayes will join Airbus as the company’s North American leader. Airbus reported record annual jet orders in 2023, but in a statement Monday, Airbus CEO Guillaume Faury hinted at plans for further expansion in North America. The announcement of Hayes’ Airbus appointment comes just over two months after he left JetBlue, which has a fleet of Airbus planes. “It’s time I put more focus on my health and well-being.”In a statement Monday, Hayes said he was excited and energized to join Airbus after taking time off.
